The city of love, lights...and baugettes

Paris was always one of my favourite cities. Riveting history, amazing arhitecture and rich cultural heritage are one of many reasons why I feel in love with the city. 

Last year my sister moved to Paris because of work and I finally saw the chance to visit the city with my brother. We always talked about visiting her, but never got to actually doing it. It was in the middle of August and the school was coming closer and closer. That's why me and brother decided that we're going to keep our tradition (last year we visted London) and visit our sister for 4 days. We got the tickets last minute and 3 days later we went to Paris. 

Day 1: I set up my alarm to wake me up at 7 o'clock but as lazy as I am it's not a suprise that I got up at about 10 o'clock. Me and my brother somehow maneged to pack all things in one suitcase. I know, I know that we were going for only four days but I'm a teenage girl and I need everything for *just in case*. Because our flight was at 2 pm I had time to wash my hair and  got ready without rushing around the house, looking for my passport (which has happend). We got to the airport at 12:30 so we checked our bags an then waited at terminal and looked around some shops (I bought a pack od Oreos because you can rarely find them in Slovenia- I know horror). At about 13:30 we started boarding on a plane and at 2.00 we were of to Frankfurt where we change planes. Also that was actually my first time visting Germany-just a fun fact. So then we go on to much comfortable plane and after two hours we were in Paris.

At the Paris airport we almost got lost because that thing is huge. But eventually we found our suitcase and our sister, who was waiting for us at the terminal. Then we went on a train and rode to Paris for about an hour and then change to metro so that we could get to my sister's house. There we had a late lunch and because it was only 7 o'clock we decided to go for a boat ride on Sena so that we had a glimpse of what we're going to see next few days. When we got to center of Paris the sun was just setting down so we had the wonderful view of Paris in sunset (that's where I took the first photo). The boat ride was amazing, We experienced the city of lights in all it's glory. 

After that we to my sister's place, got ready for sleep and have a little coversation before we went to bed to catch up. And after that I slept like a baby. 

Day 2: The next day was all about sight seeing. Of course my first request was obviously Eiffel Tower,But that day was a bit cloudy and my sister was sceptical about it.  But this was my only chance and a little bit of rain wouldn't stop me. When we got to the tower the queue wasn't even that long and we waited for only about 30 mintes (usally you wait for a hour or two). I also decided that I wanted to vist the top of the tower even though I'm a little bit afraid of heights, but I don't know when will I have this opportunity so I wanted to live full experience. First we went to the second floor where we got the full view of Paris. After that it was time for the 3rd floor. Surprisingly I was more excited than nervous. And the view on top was amazing. I couldn't take good photos because of the bars, but I still got some good photos on the second floor. 

               

 After that we visited Montmarte which is a quarter in north of Paris, it's basically a huge hill with beautiful houses, cute little shops and cafes. There we just check out some shops and visited Basilica of the Sacré-Cœur. We didn't spend a lot time there because we also wanted to visit Notre Dame which was closing pretty soon. We also didn't spend a lot of time in there for the reasons that I have already mentioned, but it was beautiful and definitly worth checking.

On the third day it was time to do some shoping, because there are a lot of stores that you can't find in Slovenia, We went to Les 4 Temps, which is bigger than any shopping center here. First me and my brother visited Primark where I bought 2 shirts, a blouse and a new handbag. Then we visited Sephora and Mac counter where I bought my first Naked palette and Mac lipstick in shade *Diva*. We also visited some stores where my brother bought some stuff which I can't remember right now. We then went to centre of Paris where we visited more high fashion stores, but homegirl was already broke from that makeup shopping, so I didn't buy anything. We came home pretty late and we were quite exhausted, so we didn't do anything that night.

Also some cards that I bought in some small shops.

*Disclamier: Unfortunately I lost the footage of the last day because my phone chrased and I didn't save them, 'cause I'm a lazy piece of shit.

The last day me and my brother were leaving around 4 o'clock so we had time to visit the Catacombs. The queue was so long that we waited an hour or two, but thankfully we met a lovely family from Canada and we quickly got along. So we visited Catacombs together. 
Catacombs are basiclly unerground graveyards where the passageway are made out of bones and skulls. Some people wouldn't like this place, which is completely understandable, but it's not as creepy as you imagine. I quite enjoyed looking at the memorials and different variations of walls. I also made some really cool photos there so I'm really bummed that I lost the footage.

After that it was time to go home, so we went back to my sister's apartment to pick our luggage and we also went to the nearest bakery to buy some cakes for our family. After that we went on a train towards the airport. Our train had a lot of complications and we were stuck for about 20 minutes on a packed train so we almost missed our flight and my anxiety level was on the edge. But thankfully we got to the airport on time and there weren't any complications. So we got home safely with another wonderful trip behind us. 

2017 note: This trip was a while back, but I quitted blogging for a while, I don't know I just lost the drive and the inspiration that I had. I had a lot of problems that I had to dealt with and I didn't find time for blogging. I don't know how much I'm gonna post here and I'm not promising anything. But I will try to find more time for my creative thoughts. Nonetheless I still hope that've you enjoyed this post you're gonna be on board for my irregular schedule.

REVIEW: REVLON ULTRA HD LIPSTICK and REVLON PHOTOREADY KAJAL MATTE EYEPENCIL 

                 

Hojla, že dolgo časa nisem pisala posta povezanega z kozmetiko, tako da je bil skrajni čas da ocenim dva izdelka, ki (sem) ju uporabljam to jesen.

Hey there, it has been a long time since I wrote a review about make-up so it's a right time to write about two products that I've been using through this autumn.

REVLON ULTRA HD LIPSTICK (Iris)

Še predno  sem pričela uporabljati ličila, so mi bila všeč šminke iz kolekcije Revlon.  Zlasti mi je pri tem ličilu všeč obstojnost, pigmentnost, lepo nanašanje, ter ne bom lagača  tudi lepo diši.  Zdaj,  ko se je začela jesen, sem tudi začela bolj nositi temne odtenke, saj mi je všeč kako se ujema z mojo bledo kožo. Tako da lahko rečem da je must-have za to jesen.  Mogoče bi mi bilo bolj všeč, če bi bil matt odtenek, ampak to je le moja osebna želja .

Even before I got into make-up I was a big fan of Revlon's lipsticks. I just liked that they're long-lasting, pigmented, their easy application and I'm not going to lie. It also smells nice. Since the autumn started I have begun to wear darker lipsticks because I like how it looks with my pale skin. And since I received this lipstick it's definitely a must have. The only thing that I would prefer would be if it was a matt shade. But that are just personal preferences.

REVLON PHOTOREADY KAJAL MATTE EYEPENCIL 

Kot prvo sama nisem nikoli bila ljubiteljica svinčnikov za oči, zmeraj sem raje posegala za eylinerji, zato ker  jih lažje nanašam (čeprav  moram 3x narediti, da sem zadovoljna z izgledom) ter izgleda lepše. Tako da, ko sem ga najprej poskusila,  sem z njim obrobila oči in me izgled  ni prepričal. Ko sem ga poskusila samo na vodni črti,  mi je bil izgled veliko bolj všeč. Kot svinčnik je zelo pigmenten, tako da  nanašanje za začetnike (kot sem jaz) ni preveč boleče in komplicirano. Nisem sicer še čisto prepričana, da so svinčniki prava izbira,  toda korak v tej smeri je narejen.

First of all, I'm not a big fan of eye pencils. I always prefer to use eyeliner because the application is easier (even though I need to do the wing 3-times before I'm satisfied) and I think it looks prettier. When I tried it the first time I lined the eyes with it and I wasn't happy with the look, then I tried it just in my waterline and it looked much better. As a pencil it's very pigmetned which is helpful for beginers (like me) because it's not as painful or complicated as there are some of them. I'm not completely sold on eyepencils but it's a big step.

 Hey there!

I actually thought that I'm going to have more time in July to focus on the blog, but then I didn't have an internet conncetion and I went to the seaside for about two weeks. And when I came back I didn't have any footage to upload. But I had some amazing pictures from my trip to Croatia-Cres so I decided that I'm going to tell you more about this vacation.

Cres is an Adriatic island in Croatia. It has an amazing history, it was ruled by Greeks, the Romans and it was also a part of Byzatine Empire and Republic of Venice. I personally love this island because the water is so clear so you're always swimming in this beautiful turquoise colour. Also the town is never too crowded so it's always nice to go for a little walk and just admire the architecture. Also usually  some local musicans preform which is always wonderful to listen while drinking some lemonade. 

So now with my experience: As I said this is my favourite place to go to seaside, so of course I was excited when I found out that we're going to stay there for about two weeks. But then the morning of leaving my body just said 'Fuck you!!' and send my period two weeks early. That morning I had the worst cramps so I just felt like my organs were playing volleyball with my uterus. I was also in the mood of making a death lists just like Arya Stark only that mine would include names of people that talked to me that day. So as you probably guessed my last wish was going to the seaside not able to go into pure blue water and just rotting on the sun. But at the end my mother conviced me to go with them and it even wasn't that bad because I slept 3/4 of trip and only complained about how I need to use the bathroom but I couldn't go to the bathroom because I hate public toilets with all my heart (I got shivers from just thinking about them). I also bought Paper Towns from John Green at the gas station because I didn't have any books to read and the library was closed. We drove for about 6 hours and also took the ferry to the island. We arrived at about 10 pm and I was pretty tired and my bladder didn't take any of that shit. But first we got lost about 5 times until some kind man gave us the map and walk us to our apartment. Then I just took a shower and got in my comfortable PJ's and went to sleep. 

The next day my cramps didn't go away so I couldn't go swimming and it was boiling outside so I stayed inside and started to watch Game of Thrones on my dad's computer and started to watch from the start just because I hoped that this time Ned Stark wouldn't die (SPOILER ALLERT!!).  I accidentally watched a whole season in one day, seriously I wish I was joking.

 But the next day was a lot better so I also went swimming and took some pictures of an amazing sunshine which was nothing new for the locals but for us was the prettiest thing ever. It's just so weird to think that they take that kinda stuff for granted and it makes me wonder what if we are surrounded with same things but we always crave for different things just because we get bored of beauty. 

The next days were nothing  special. Just going to the beach and trying to get a tan. It's really funny because my mom has an italian blood so she gets brown in no time and I'm just there happy if I get into the shade just so I don't look like a walking dead. Also I read Paper Towns in 2 days but I was quite disappointed. Don't get me wrong it's a good book but because of all the hype I was just expecting something more. I just don't get why one guy would be so obsessed with the girl who has been ignoring him for years and that just because of one night they have spent together. But that's just one person's opinion. 

Also me and father decided to visit the town Cres and have a look around.  First we went for a walk so I could take some pictures of the city. Then we went to a cafe where two local artists preform old classic like The Beatles, The Doors,... and it was really nice to listen and relax and just have a nice talk with my father. When I was younger he introdeced to the old classics so I can thank him for my music taste and loving acoustic music. 

At the end of vacation my sister also came to visit us with her boyfriend. She also brought me the second book from trilogy Hunger Games because the last part of series is coming to theaters in November so I needed to refresh my memory. It's a really good book a lot better than the movies-even though I actully quite liked them, so I really recomend it if you're wanting something thrilling and gripping. It has quite a lot of violence but it's not barbaric as you would expect. 

The last days we mostly visited other shores because the closest beach we lived near was so crowded and even the water wasn't that clean so we wanted someting more peaceful. And the shores were beautiful and the water was so clear you could see the bottom even if you swam 50 meters.

The last day we left quite early so that we could catch the ferry at about 11 a.m (and that's early for me because I'm not a morning person). Again the road was nothing special I just listend to music the whole trip and sleept. 

And that was my trip. Again sorry about deley I know I didn't posted for  long time so I'm now writing this in Paris so I can upload it as soon as I come home (so you can probably guess what next post will be about). Also I hoped you have had a great summer because school unfortunately starts next week, at least in Slovenia. So I hope you'll have good grades and most importantely a good time. And for all freshmen I hope you got to make a lot of friends on the first day.

Daises on my dress.

Hi everyone,
wow I really love summer it's my favourite season and not just because it's my birthday but because of warm nights, long days, green everywhere and because everyone is free and you have so much time that sometimes you don't know what to do with it. Also it's a great time because my panic attacks are almost gone so I don't feel anxious as I use to. I was under so much stress but now I don't give a fluff about anything. I know that I shouldn't push my problems away but I really need this time for myself. 

It's really weird to see me actually smile because I use to be very insecure about my smile because I have a gap between my front teeth so I always smiled with my mouth closed. I just thought I look ugly and when I got a retainer in December I was even more insecure about my smile because I thought I look like 12. But when I took pictures for my blog with my friends I always laughed out loud and when I saw the pictures I was slowly getting used to it and started to like them. That was a pretty big step for me because my teeth were always my flaw since I was 8 and I started to worry what other people thought about me and when I was 12. I wrote in my diary that my teeth were one of my top 3 insecurities. When I'm looking at this pictures I actually like my smile and also you can see my dimples I know they're not big but they are still there. 
I know that everyone has insecurities bigger or smaller they are still there and I know that you can't simply ignore it. But there are also some things that we like about ourselves. For example I really like my eyes because they're quite big and blue which is one of my favourite colours. Also because only 20% of world population has blue eyes. 

So I want to know in the comments what is one of your favourite attribute and why do you like it. 

Also the dress is from Pimkie which as you know is one of my favourite shops. And this dress is one my favourite because it's so summer-y and it's really comfortable. This one also has daises on it which are one of my favourite flowers. The hat is from H&M and I remember that I bought it the first week I started high school when II went shopping with my              schoolmates who I really miss. There weren't any photos of my shoes but they are flats which I bought in Mass.

Summer everywhere ☀ ❁ 

Hey there,

I just wanted to make another outfit post because I like doing it and I hope you like reading it:) So there again I went with my friend Petra, which is always the poor soul that is taking pictures of me, for a walk through woods and fields near my home. 

Lara without leggings what the fluff!!! Yeah I know I'm kinda shocked too, but the reason is that it is boiling hot outside and I don't want to make my life harder that already is. I think that I have a serious obsession with leggings like I probably have 12 pairs of leggings and 3 pairs of jeans. They are just so comfortable how could you hate it. But I like the skirt. I bought it last year in Pimkie which is my favourite shop ever, ever, EVER. But I didn't wear it a lot because I wasn't comfortable with showing my legs, but now I don't really care. I mean it's pointless hiding something yours and boiling on the sun just because you're afraid that someone will judge it. I'm still not 100 percent comfortable with my body but I'm getting there. I'm planing to focus more on  that theme in another blog post that will come out in the future:)

For make-up I decided that I'm gonna go subtle on the eyes and focus more on the lips. I love the dark colour lipstick I just think that it suits me because I'm really pale (seriously I know that I mention that in every blog post but look at my arms at the upper photo they are almost the same shade as my shirt) and I just feel so classy/badass while wearing it. Unfortunately I can't tell you the name of the lipstick because I got it  for Christmas a few years ago in case full of make-up which was probably cheap and I lost/gave other products because they were crap. But I keep this one it still is not one of the best lipstick that I had but it did it's job.
